Dracaena Arborea

This plant of grand, wild and tropical personality is native to Africa. What that means is that it is well accustomed to hot, sunny weather. If well taken care of, they can grow up to 8 feet tall. They grow in many different ways, making them versatile plants. Grow them in a pot, plant them directly in the soil or attach them to a tree for different looks. Fun tip, because they draw moisture from the air, they don’t need soil, which makes epiphytes.

Orchids

Orchids are beautiful plants that have gained a cult status for their flowers. They are symbols of sensuality, elegance, grace and beauty, which is exactly what they look like. Orchids, just like bromeliads, are part of the epiphyte family. This means that in its natural environment they grow attached to branches and trees, collecting water from the air. Phalaenopsis orchids are the easiest to take care of, plus the easiest to get to re-bloom. They need indirect light and water once a week, depending on external conditions.

Pretty much the rest of the plants mentioned here, they require indirect, bright light and water once a week.

Philodendron Selloum

This plant, with its dramatic look, is wild, tropical and lush. It has big, shiny leaves that add a pop of color in an otherwise plain and monochromatic space. They require bright, indirect light and water once a week.

Desert Candle Cactus

Cacti are tropical plants by excellence. Out of all of the ones mentioned, this is the ultimate, low-maintenance plant, perfect for a new plant-owner. They require water about once a month and are very adaptable. Typically, they need a lot of light, be it direct or indirect. However, they can also be placed indoors where light is not so bright. They are strong on the outside, with thick exteriors, yet soft inside, where they hold the water needed to survive.
