PLANT CARE

Where can I find care instructions for my plants?

Explore our Plant Care Guides here: plant care guide

I do not have a green thumb, will I be able to take care of these plants?

We use a lot of desert plants that require very little maintenance and are ideal for people who struggle to keep their plants alive. All of our plant arrangements include care instructions.

How long will my plants live?

This depends on the conditions the plants are living in and how properly they are cared for. Generally, our desert gardens and terrarium last for many years with a few plants that dry up and need to be replaced after a few months. Our orchids are grade A quality and can last from 1-3 months. The airplants can last for 4-12 months and may produce offspring that replace the mother plant.

Do I have to water the plants?

Yes, all plants require water. Although some much more than others, they all need it to survive.

Where are the plants from?

The plants are sourced locally although some are partially grown in other parts of the United States and some are even imported from far away exotic places.

Do your moss art and moss decor pieces require watering or sunlight?

Our moss pieces do not require watering or regular maintenance. The moss we utilize is preserved to maintain its original color and texture without watering.

How long do your moss pieces last?

Our moss pieces can last from 5 - 10 years when kept in proper conditions. We recommend keeping all moss pieces indoors, away from sunlight and A/C vents. Touch up kits are sold upon request. You may also bring your moss pieces to our gallery for renovation.

How do I get rid of the smell of the moss?

Like most things in nature, moss has a natural smell that slowly fades over the years. If you have an aversion to the scent, we recommend using one of our home fragrances periodically.

CACTI

How long does my cacti arrangement live?

Our cactus gardens can thrive for years if kept in proper conditions. Some cacti have longer natural life cycles than others. If some of the plants in your arrangement start to wither, you may bring in your arrangement for a renovation, which is priced according to how many plants need to be replaced.

Do my cacti need light?

Yes, cacti need as much light as possible. We recommend placing them in bright areas such as near a window or glass door.

Does artificial light work?

Yes, your cactus arrangement can still thrive with artificial light, although sunlight is ideal.

What happens if I water it as instructed but they still die after 3 months?

This is a normal process for cacti, every plant has a different natural life expectancy when indoors. You can bring in your arrangement for a renovation, which is priced according to how many plants need to be replaced.

Will my cacti live forever?

Nothing lives forever, but many of our clients have had their cacti arrangements for many years.

One of the plants in the arrangement died after a month, will Plant the Future change it for free?

We are not responsible for what happens to your plants after they are in your possession. You can bring your arrangement to our gallery to replace the plants that have withered.

SUCCULENTS

How long will my succulents last?

Echeveria succulents typically thrive for about two months when indoors. Outdoors, they will thrive for about 6 - 8 months.

Does artificial light work for them?

Artificial light is usually not sufficient, we recommend direct or indirect sunlight.

Why do they turn lighter and the center of the plant grows taller?

This is the natural growth pattern of Echeveria Succulents. This signals that your plant is happy and growing.

Is direct sun ok?

Yes, however our plants are already adapted to indoor conditions. We recommend slowly adapting the plants to South Florida’s powerful sunlight by placing them in partial sun first and then transitioning to full sun. The plants may burn if they are immediately exposed to full direct  sunlight.

Money Trees & Ponytail Palms

Will my money tree strive on artificial light and some natural light?

Yes, this plant works well indoors with natural light and artificial light.

How should I water the plants - at the root or the top?

Always water your money tree or ponytail palm at the root.

I followed care instructions but my plant still withered.

All plants have a natural life cycle, when there is no specific rhythm or consistency they can wither with more ease. You can bring in your arrangement for a renovation, which is priced according to how many plants need to be replaced.

Orchids

How long will my orchids last?

The plant can last as long as 100 years. Orchids typically bloom every 1 - 2 months when the plant is properly cared for.

Why are the leaves turning yellow?

Orchid leaves typically turn yellow when they are being overwatered.

Why are the leaves wrinkling?

Orchid leaves typically wrinkle when they are not receiving sufficient water.

What happens after all the flowers are gone?

Once the flowers fall off, cut the dry parts of the stems and continue watering the plant as instructed. You can add fertilizer to the soil for the orchids to bloom more frequently.
