Terms of service

Plant The Future (“PTF,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides products and services including live plants, preserved botanical art, custom arrangements, planters, decorative objects, design services, delivery, and installations. By purchasing products or services from Plant The Future, customer (“Client”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

GENERAL

All purchases, orders, deposits, services, deliveries, installations, and transactions are subject to these Terms & Conditions.

PTF reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, limit quantities, or modify policies at any time without prior notice.

NATURAL MATERIALS

Many of our products are handmade and/or created using natural materials including live plants, preserved moss, wood, stone, ceramics, and organic elements. Variations in color, texture, grain, scent, size, and overall appearance are natural characteristics and are not considered defects.

Product photography is intended as a general representation only. Actual products may vary.

LIVE PLANTS

Live plants are living organisms and their health and appearance depend heavily on environmental conditions and care after delivery or pickup.

PTF is not responsible for issues resulting from:

  • overwatering
  • underwatering
  • improper drainage
  • insufficient or excessive light
  • exposure to extreme temperatures
  • pests
  • neglect
  • improper maintenance
  • relocation shock
  • environmental changes
  • acts beyond our control

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, live plants and plant arrangements are sold without guarantee or warranty.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Custom-made, commissioned, personalized, made-to-order, special-order, and modified items are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable once design, procurement, fabrication, or production has commenced.

PTF reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions of plants or materials based on seasonality, availability, and product quality.

DESIGN SERVICES

Design fees, consultation fees, site visit fees, renderings, creative fees, and related professional service charges are non-refundable once services have commenced.

Plant The Future’s design services involve substantial professional time, expertise, creative development, and proprietary design work. Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • on-site consultations and walkthroughs
  • site measurements and documentation
  • environmental and lighting analysis
  • discussions with Client regarding aesthetic preferences, functional needs, budget, and project goals
  • conceptual design development
  • plant and botanical material selection
  • planter and container selection
  • space planning and layout recommendations
  • sourcing research and procurement coordination
  • preparation of proposals, estimates, presentations, mood boards, and renderings
  • development of custom artistic and biophilic concepts

These services often require multiple hours of work both on-site and off-site prior to any purchase, fabrication, installation, or project approval.

Design fees compensate Plant The Future for professional knowledge, time, creative expertise, planning, analysis, and intellectual property generated during the design process and are therefore earned upon performance regardless of whether the Client ultimately proceeds with the proposed project, purchases products, or completes installation.

All designs, concepts, drawings, renderings, presentations, specifications, plant selections, layouts, and creative materials produced by Plant The Future remain the sole intellectual property of Plant The Future unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing. Client may not reproduce, share, replicate, execute, or distribute Plant The Future’s concepts or designs without prior written consent.
