Branching Coral Candle Holder – Small by Julieta Teppa

In Branching Coral Candle Holder – Large, Julieta Teppa transforms the complex architecture of coral into a sculptural study of growth and repetition. Multiple elongated forms emerge from an irregular base, their varied heights and organic contours recalling a living reef reaching upward through water.

The work’s pale, tactile surface emphasizes its hand-shaped character, while the clustered composition shifts between functional object and imagined marine specimen. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, the piece reflects a dialogue between natural structures and the artist’s hand, preserving the irregularity and quiet complexity of organic growth.
