Description
In Coral Planter, Julieta Teppa transforms the traditional vessel into an intricate study of marine growth and organic architecture. Its irregular silhouette is animated by clusters of porous, coral-like formations that spread across the surface, creating a complex interplay of cavities, projections, and open textures.
The pale monochromatic finish allows light and shadow to articulate the work’s delicate relief, giving the vessel the presence of a naturally formed marine specimen. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, Coral Vase 2 exists between functional object and sculpture, reflecting on the extraordinary structures created through repetition, growth, and transformation in the natural world.
