Coral Vase 2 by Julieta Teppa

In Coral Candle Holder 2, Julieta Teppa translates the architecture of a marine formation into an intimate sculptural object. Rising from a textured, reef-like base, two slender candle supports extend vertically, creating a striking contrast between the irregular density of the lower form and the restrained lines above.

The work evokes coral shaped through gradual accumulation, its tactile surface preserving a sense of growth, erosion, and transformation. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, the piece moves between sculpture and function, bringing together natural morphology, material expression, and the ritual presence of candlelight.

Each work is individually crafted; variations in form, texture, and finish are intrinsic to its handmade character.

Handle with care, particularly around the branching forms. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface and dust gently with a soft, dry brush. Remove candle wax carefully without scraping the surface. Never leave burning candles unattended.
