Mushroom Lamp by Paloma Teppa

In Figurine Flower, Paloma Teppa isolates the familiar form of a blossom and transforms it into a small sculptural study of growth, permanence, and material. Layered petals unfold from a compact center, accompanied by delicately modeled leaves that preserve the recognizable gestures of a living flower.

Rendered in deep black, the work shifts away from the flower’s conventional associations with color and ephemerality, drawing attention instead to silhouette, texture, and form. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, Figurine Flower captures a fleeting botanical form in a lasting sculptural object, existing between natural specimen and imagined artifact.
