Description
In Flowers of the Sea, Florencia Echeverria imagines a hybrid landscape in which botanical and marine forms converge. A dense, reef-like foundation supports delicate stems and flower-like structures that rise upward, creating the impression of an underwater garden suspended between the familiar and the fantastical.
The work shifts between intricate surface and open silhouette, contrasting the accumulated textures of its base with the fragile vertical gestures above. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, the sculpture reflects on the shared visual language of flowers, coral, and other living organisms, transforming patterns of growth into a singular sculptural ecosystem.
