Description
In Garden of the Sea, Florencia Echeverria constructs an imagined underwater landscape where coral, flora, and mineral forms appear to grow together as a single sculptural ecosystem. A densely textured foundation gives rise to delicate branching structures, creating a composition that recalls both a cultivated garden and the spontaneous architecture of a living reef.
The work moves between abundance and fragility, inviting close observation of its layered surfaces and intricate silhouettes. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, the sculpture reflects on the parallels between terrestrial gardens and marine habitats, transforming patterns of growth, adaptation, and coexistence into an intimate landscape.
