Tequesta Ground Round Small by Paloma Teppa

In Tequesta Ground Round Small, Paloma Teppa reimagines the vessel as a compact sculptural landscape. Its low, rounded silhouette is enveloped by dense layers of organic relief, creating a surface that evokes volcanic terrain, marine accretion, and geological matter shaped through processes of growth and erosion.

The deep black finish intensifies the work’s physical presence, allowing its folds, cavities, and irregular projections to emerge through shifting light and shadow. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, Tequesta Ground Round Small exists between vessel and landscape—an exploration of material accumulation and the elemental structures of the natural world.

Handle with particular care around the intricate sculptural elements. Display on a stable surface and dust gently with a soft, dry brush. Avoid abrasive materials, chemical cleaners, and excessive moisture.

The piece currently on display is available for purchase and will be reserved for the first customer to complete their purchase, either in person oar online. Once sold, additional pieces may be purchased on a made-to-order basis with a minimum lead time of 30 days.

As the original piece is currently part of the exhibition, it will remain on display through the close of the exhibition and will be available for pickup or delivery thereafter.
