Description
In Tequesta Bird Light, Paloma Teppa constructs a luminous sculptural landscape in which avian, botanical, and mineral forms converge. A stylized bird emerges above a densely articulated base, its outstretched wings creating a sense of movement and lightness in contrast to the accumulated textures below.
The composition evokes a fragment of an imagined ecosystem, where rock-like formations and vegetation gather around the central figure as though shaped through natural growth. Created for the Eden Kampong Exhibition, Tequesta Bird Light moves between sculpture and functional illumination, exploring the poetic relationship between light, habitat, and the living world.
